Privacy Policy
Your photos, videos and contacts are analyzed on your iPhone and never leave it. We collect only anonymous technical data to keep the app working and to improve it, and you can turn it off.
The short version
- We never upload your photos, videos, contacts, their previews, file names, dates or locations.
- No ads, no tracking across apps or websites, no advertising identifier (IDFA), no selling of data.
- Crash reports and usage statistics are anonymous and are not linked to your identity.
- In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland usage statistics are sent only if you allow them.
- You can turn both off at any time in the app: Settings → Privacy.
What stays on your device
Finding duplicates and similar photos, analyzing videos, compressing videos and reviewing contacts all happen on your iPhone. The app reads your photo library and contacts only after you grant access in iOS, and only to show you what can be cleaned. Nothing is deleted or changed without your confirmation.
- Deleted photos and videos go to “Recently Deleted” in the Photos app, where iOS keeps them for 30 days.
- Compressed videos are saved as new videos in your library; the originals go to “Recently Deleted”.
- Contacts: before every change the app saves a backup of the affected contacts on your device.
- The app’s working data (analysis results, settings, backups) is stored only on your device and is removed when you delete the app.
What we collect
| Data | What it contains | Why | How to turn off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crash and diagnostic reports | Technical details of a crash or freeze: where in the app’s code it happened, app and iOS version, device model, memory and temperature state, anonymous error codes and counts. | To find and fix bugs (legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). | On by default. Settings → Privacy → “Send crash reports”. |
| Usage statistics | Which screens and features are used and their results as numbers and ranges — for example, how many duplicates were found, how much space was freed, video resolution and size before and after compression — plus app and iOS version, device model and a random app-generated ID. | To understand which features help and to improve them (your consent in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); legitimate interest elsewhere). | EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland: off until you tap “Allow”. Elsewhere: on by default. Settings → Privacy → “Help improve the app”. |
| Feature settings | The app downloads remote settings (for example, to switch off a feature that misbehaves) using a random ID. Without your consent to usage statistics this ID is reset every time the app starts. | To keep the app working safely (legitimate interest). | Not needed: nothing about you is stored. |
| Problem reports | Only when you send one from Settings → “Report a problem”: the text you write and, if you tick the box, the app’s technical log. The log contains no photos, contacts, names or file names. | To answer your report (legitimate interest). | Sent only when you tap send. |
| Support emails | Your email address and message when you write to us. | To reply to you. | — |
This data is not linked to your name, Apple Account, email or device identifiers, and we do not try to identify you from it.

How long we keep it
- Crash and problem reports — up to 90 days.
- Usage statistics — up to 12 months, then deleted or kept only as aggregated totals.
- Support emails — as long as needed to help you, then deleted on request.
Your choices and rights
You can turn off crash reports and usage statistics in Settings → Privacy at any time; the change applies immediately. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because the data we collect is anonymous, we usually cannot tell which records belong to you; write to us and we will do what we can.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
